Ride of the Month

I have done this on other forums, so lets try it here too. I have this started on another forum, and have done if for quite some time on a Chopper Forum

Ok here is how this is going to work...

Ride of the Month entry's for August 2008.

We only have room for 10 Rides per month so it's first come first serve. To enter, post pictures of your ride here on this thread along with a little info on the Ride, like specs or any mods you have done. Once we have enough rides we'll take a vote and see who rides away with Ride of the Month honors!

Rules are as follows:
You need to have the pics of your ride in your gallery here on Utah Vettes. I CAN NOT repost pictures that have been entered by attaching it to the post! You can also link pictures hosted else where on the net by using

1990 Chevrolet Corvette
L98 with Stock TPI
Flowmaster Exhaust
Drag Radials (When I am at the track)
Comp Cams Roller Rockers
K&N Filter
Kenwood Stereo
250 Watt Amp.

Upcomming Mods:
Gear Drive (To replace timing chain)
NOS
HiFlow intake and Runners
Acell Gen VII Box
2.02 Chevrolet Heads or Dart II Heads
Tri Y Headers
Belt Bar and 5 Point Harness System

This is the general Idea of what I want to see. Once I get a total of 10 cars not including mine, (As my entry does not count) I am going to created a new post. At the top of that post will be a pole with the name of each person entering. Below that I will post specs of each Ride, along with one shot of the Ride. Voting will be open for (2) weeks only. Winner will be posted each month, and in December, we will have the Ride of the Ride Contest. This year will be a small field for Ride of the Year, but starting next year there will be a full 11 car field. Show us what you got everyone and if this takes off, maybe I can offer up some kind of prize to the winner.

Does the ride have to be a vette ? Cuz,I only got one,but I DO have a couple other reasonably nice cars !

Well,I will go ahead and reply,and I will add to my gallery if someone tells me where it is ? Lets start with my wifes car,1967 Pontiac firebird convertible. [image]

Stats are as follows,Originally a six cyl/3 speed car,we bought it out of a farmers field down in Price where it was less than a week away from being buried in a culvert as backfill ! Did a complete frame off on it,installing a freshly built 68 Pontiac 428 with a stroker crank,ported 62 heads,roller rockers,headers,Edelbrock intake,holley 750,Full MSD ignition incl dist.Backed up with a Dual friction clutch/scattershield,feeding into a BW super T10 out of a late 70s Trans am. Swapped out the stock 10 bolt for a 8.8 Ford rear with 31 spline axles,rear disc,3.73 posi and factory dual traction bars. Sheetmetal is all original,with the exception of the hood(switched to 400 style) Interior is original style deluxe interior,added power windows. Rolling stock is a mix of 17x8s and 17x9.5 out back,Eagle alloys.Started out as a driver project,but took a wrong turn and kinda went overboard on it.She drives it occasionally but not as often as planned.
