Hey everyone. Just joined in as to the suggestion of a good friend, Tachout. I don't own a Vette, in fact my ride is about as far from a Vette as you can get. BUT I am working out the details of getting some parts from Tachout so that my ride has the heart of one. I'm building a 79 Olds Cutlass station wagon g-machine. The goal for the car is to keep up with you boys in acceleration and on the autocross in granny's grocery getter. Please click the link in my signature to see my build thread on another forum. For motorvation I have a 9.5:1 406 small block that will be getting topped off with a Vette Tuned Port system. My goal is for roughly 400+ flywheel hp and 425-450 ft lbs. so I can get 300-325 hp and 350-375 ft lbs to the wheels. A different carbureted fairly mild 406 I had in my car before made 222 hp and 280 ft lbs at the wheels. I have a lot of research and work to do to hit my goals. Tachout suggested I rub shoulders with you all, looking forward to picking the brains of the experts. By profession I own Street Rod Designs, a hot rod based automotive illustration and design company. I'm also currently a full-time student in UVU's Street Rod construction program. After graduation I'm headed towards working in a rod shop. I'm originally from Florida and have a long background of drag racing my Nova out there. Since here I now have a family and all and a drag car just isn't practical. Instead I've shifted gears to build a hard cornering daily driver. Hoping next year I can challenge a few of you on the track.

Welcome Ben, You will find plenty of advice and friends on here.
As for his art, I am enrolled in an Art Class that he is teaching in Automotive art. He is also the person who did my Avatar, and the Cartoon one I have as well.
Looking forward to seeing the TPI wagon come together. Once the Bugs are worked out of the convertible, I might have to join you for a WOW out at Miller or hit the Auto Cross a couple of times with you. I bet it would be a blast.

Hi Everyone, Just got pointed to the site from the national forum. I'm a year in Salt Lake from Philly. Shipped a triple black vert 02. Wish I had my own garage, but I am making due with the underground parking at my apartment. Can't keep the dust off, though, what's up with that? Black is just not a car color for Utah. Too late, I'm the original owner now coming up on 10 years! Can't believe it! Only 40k miles. Looking forward to interacting with everyone on the boards. Bobby D

How's it going everyone, name's Pablo, live down in the Provo area. Just picked up a 97, so far I've only done bbk intake and borla mufflers. I might be picking up a zo6 in the coming months. I'll be headed to Miller quite a bit even if I do not pick up a zo6, just need to find the right one. There should be a vette meet since the weather is clearing up! Have a good one guys. Attachments:

Hi everyone, My Name is Scott, I'm down here in Dixie, just an ol'guy with a life long affliction for Corvettes. I've had several of them over the years (wish I still had ALL of them) and currently have a Polo Green '96 C4 that I am the second owner on. Used to be in the car biz, sales, sales manager, parts, parts manager, all for GM, primarily Chevrolet. I took the Corvette I have now in trade from the guy I sold it to when it was brand new, he had really use it up... it had 10k miles on it that he had driven it in the 10 years he owned it. It was built on 15 Sept 1995. It now has 55k miles on it. Over the yrs I've had it I've tinkered with it and managed to "enhance" it's performance a touch, mostly with the advice of GM engineers I have come to know over the years and it somehow manages to run with the C5's and C6's with ease. I hope there are more Corvette enthusiasts like myself here in the St. George area that actually drive there Corvettes instead of keeping them in the garage on a battery tender and just waxing them. I love to auto-cross and have been know to drive fast enough to begin to see into the future when I think I can get away with it... after all it is a Corvette isn't it?? ;D
