What will it run? Post it here. I'm not really sure how to manage a pool. Maybe Mark can help? I'm not much of a betting man, so I've never participated in "pools" such as this. Therefore, I don't know how it works. I guess everyone "buys in"? For a fixed amount? Then who ever gets the closest wins the pot? I don't need 1/2 or any of the money. IMO, who ever guesses closest, gets it all. I'm putting myself down for 14.20. But I'll be DRIVING for a 13.999999.

I will put you in at around 14.8 if she is still stock.
And how the pot works is simple. Once we have a few people in, we can set a Price on the entrance. I will say $5.00 as that is pretty cheap pool.
Then have Tom post up his best time slip on Thursday morning, and each person who has a buy in pays the winner. Either that, or I am willing to hold the cash on Wednesday night, and then at the end of the night, Tom can show us what he ran, and the closest can grab me for the payout, as I will be there till they shut it down for the night.

How about we put in,say, some type of mystery gift, not to exceed $5,winner takes all. Put them all in a box,in the back of Marks suburban along with your timeslip guess ? That being said,i am guessing a 14.35 on street tires.

My most important quest is, #1, do you have, or have had access to GenTec and, have you tested your 1/4 mile times.. The reason for the question is Sandbagging, is your car really stock... But I am sticking with my 15.02 time...

Not a bad idea there Vince. Cash or a $5.00 or less gift would work. I will leave the hatch open for anyone to pitch in. I will also on Tuesday night create a sheet with what everyone things it will run and post it on my back window!

AFAIK, the car is bone, box stock. I can not find any evidence of modifications to the thing, right down the the whisper quiet stock exhaust.
Tires aren't stock, but are real street tires; sunbaked, dry and cracked from sitting for a year and a half. They are Pirelli P7000 "Supersport". The "Supersport" tells ME that they were junk tires when they were new.
I can't find any evidence of mods, and all of the paperwork that came w/the car only has PM and repairs; no receipts for upgrades.
And Wayne, I don't even know what a "GenTec" is.
I haven't tested the 1/4 mile in any way other that SOTP driving on the road. Also, the C6 hit ~143 at Miller on Monday, the C4, only 120. What does that mean? Not much other than that it's a lot less powerful than the C6. lol.

Hey, $5 is big money to me right now, and as I was a stockbroker for 18 years, I have to do my due diligence. I am just rememberinig when my car was 300 horses in one of its earlier iterations the very best I could do (if I am remembering correctly was 15 even) I have a GenTec and it gives you 1/4 times 60 times etc.

I'm in favor of someone, Mark, myself, anyone, holding the cash and or prizes. Hey, $5 is big money to me right now, I have a GenTec and it gives you 1/4 times 60 times etc. Also known as a "G-Tech". Coupon, my butt! I'll stake you to the $5.00. I hate to bet against Tom. He initially predicted a 13. The last tome I doubted a prediction of his, I was wrong. I'm in for a 14.40

Ok, it looks like I have about 4 guys staking me..I am in for 20 bucks plus a coupon..
Ok--Tom, now for the hard questions.. What did you do to the motor right before going to Millers. What kind of chemical are you planning on pouring on those tires to make them sticky. What kind of and, how much Nitro-Methane are you putting in the gas tank. One has to be careful when betting with others peoples money against a PRO!!! ;D

For a UtahVette, 30% off of the log package and 5% off of the labor. I will use the Nevada Corp, and therefore no Taxes on the log package. Same deal goes for Ross as he has giving me some good deals on tuning

All I know is that I drove that car last weekend with Jeanette as a passenger. I wanted her to be ready so I told her I was going to punch it, and then I did. She said, "Is that all the way down?" with a kinda confused look. And then she kinda snickered, like when you have a small thingy and you drop your pants in front of a girl for the first time (don't ask how I know. ) Anyway, I told her that I was sure Tom was a good driver. ;D
