If I could set it up for us to have a class on tuning with the ACCEL Gen VII and the class was taught by ACCEL would anyone be interested? It is like a 2 day class. First day is classroom, and the second day would be on the Dyno actually doing tuning. I am working to try to set this up, but it looks like I need like 20 people to get this going. I know of a couple but want to come up with 20 people. The cost would be something like $500 plus the day on the dyno, that the cost would be split between the students. If we have 20 students, we split the cost 20 ways, if we have 30 students we split the cost 30 ways. I am going to try to get the total student count from our group and other local groups but getting 20 might be a bit of work. If your intersted let me know... And if you know of anyone interested let me know.

The class would not be taught by Temple, it would be taught by the people at ACCEL and they would be flying in for this.
See what you started by hooking me up like you did!

I have this posted on LS1Tech, UMCA, Corvette Forum, and here. I am open to any other forums you know of. If you post them on here, I will do the work, and if you want you can post it, and just keep me up to date on it.

Mark, We need to post this on some of the other Chevy forums here in Utah Actually, there is nothing exclusively "Chevy" about the DFI engine controller. Any tuner working with a DFI, or to a degree any brand controller, stands to benefit.

Very well stated Jim. I have posted it and a couple of people have asked if they are going to cover just the Gen VII DFI Unit, and I got an answer back from Accel that the classroom portion will cover not only the DFI but also Tuning in general. To tune any system you first have to understand the system, and then understand what happens in the engine when you change something. It sounds like a great class, and if I cannot get it to fill up here, so that they teach it here, I am going to find one of the classes that I can attend. I think that if we could just get a few more interested, and understand that this class is after the first of the year sometime, it would help a ton. I have had a couple of comments that this was bad timing with the economy bad, and the holidays coming. I answered back it is after the holidays, and the response was "It is right before Tax time" Seems like there is always something that is due bill wise. I think that in the long run it is going to save me time and money to take this class, and the satisfaction that I can make changes on the fly with my car if I want, to keep up with weather and track conditions, or when I take the car out to the Bay area, or back to Indy!

Mark, Wahr are the particulars, Beyond the $500 for the instructor and the dyno, are there any other costs. If the cost of the instructor is just $500 then with 10 people the cost would be $50. That is not that much. I have space in my office to have 100 people if we need someplace to have the class. Do we have to pay to fly the guy out here, what are the particulars.

The cost of the class is $500 per person. They are going to fly several people here from Accel, and I will have to provide a classroom for one day, and a dyno for a day. I am still working to get a complete list of all the particulars but the course materials that they give you, I have seen selling for $350 on Ebay.
