I WAS a die hard Polaris guy, until they introduced the 550 fan in the EDGE chassis. Then didn't support the engineering short commings that they knew about. And frankly, nothing they make now days interests me at all. The last 800 RMK in the EDGE chassis was the last sled they made that was of any interest to me. REALLY, the '02 XCR 800 was the last sled they made that interested me. The turbo Yamaha is where it's at today. You can't beat it.
I agree...we gotta ride this year.

Thats kinda funny, cuz I am holding onto my 02 Edge 800 and my wife prefers the Gen2 chassis. The Yammi is a whole different beast, more point and shoot,or rather point and hold on ! You need to try it at least once, its a HUGE rush !

I actually prefer the Gen II chassis better than the Edge too; I think it rolls over easier, and it's supported by 12 years worth of parts, since it's realy a wedge w/a different belly pan and hood. It's like the SBC of the sleds, IMO. I'd LOVE to try the turbo Yammi, but I won't put myself anywhere precarious w/it. If I can't do a "U-Turn" coming down a bowl w/it, then that means I'm not comfortable hanging it off some cliff. Maybe some short, steep hill, punch it and hang on. How do you like boon docking?

I have a 1998 RMK with an 800 twin that's piped and has a 159 ported track. It does ok but it's a handful to turn. I'll go riding with you guys whenever we get enough snow.

I was back in UT last February for a few days and was able to rent a new Yamaha Nytro for the day. I've been a huge Yamaha fan since I got to ride a few on a demo day back in '05. I'm in love with the 4 strokes! The taller ride position is huge for me as well.

Or up by Daniels summit for those who would like to spend the night/rent sleds. Now remember,I am just a novice so you guys need to take it easy on me,Tom whats this "Boondockin" you talkin about ?;-)

Cool. Riding this winter for sure. I'd like to take you riding in White Pine Canyon; all private land, so there is no problem getting "fresh product". 5 good bowls, tons of quality boondocking. It's good riding. Tom whats this "Boondockin" you talkin about ?;-) LOL. My definition? Putting yourself in a nearly impossible, densely wooded situations (preferably on a steep slope), with the goals of not wrecking the machine and also making it home that night. ;D When it all goes down like that^ it is one of the best days sledding ever, for me. The more technical, the better.
