Good Morning all,
I feel very compelled to come on here and make a serious comment about one of our Members.
I have an oil leak on my Vette, and a few other problems, but originally the whole reason to go down and see Highpockets at his shop was to get a rear window that he was going to make me a smoking deal! Well we talked a while, and as we were talking, he checked out my vette for the oil leak, and a few other things. Well I ended up taking my wife out for lunch, and when I came back he had taken care of 90% of what I wanted to have done. I still need to have my intake resealed, but I am going to have to wait a little while, as I have a couple of other bills first, and if he is that deep in there, I am going to have him work on a couple of other things first. His prices were honestly unbelieveable low! He treated me like I owned a pinto not a vette. Very very impressive, as most people that see you pull in driving a vette, and they know you have money (Which is not the case). He welded a new bracket onto my exhaust, changed my oil that was in bad need of changing, tightened the pan on my transmission as that was loose, gave the car a once over, gave me the trip strip that I was missing on my top, found the oil leak, and helped with looking at what else was wrong with it. He said he is going to look through a couple of boxes and find my EGR Control Solenoid that I need, and the connector as well. He dug out a really exceptional rear window for me, and then went out to our Suburban, scanned it for trouble, and fixed the Check Engine light that has been on in there for ever. On the way home, the wife we driving the suburban and the light never did come back on, and I was sure that I was in for a big bill on that POS as well. Nope he fixed it too. Today I have a couple of errands to run, and then I am going to fine out what is the code in my Brake system on my Vette, and he has agreed to find the speed sensor, or what ever else I need and treat me right on that one too! He has to be one of the best I have seen! I worked on cars and built Prostreet cars for years, and had gotten out of it due to a broken back, and the fact that I found I made pretty good money on the computer designing homes, and it was cleaner and more temperature tolerant. I have that itch again, and I am going to have him work with me on making this one a fun street car.
