That's about what an LT1 makes, isn't it? Well....maybe TWO LT1's!
Those Z's are friggin' sick. SICK! I say.
Looking forward to actual numbers, but someone must be pretty happy!

I was there to witness the carnage that LS7 laid down, 11 degree heads and a nasty cam make for a very nasty LS7, congrats Nick.....

I will let Ross give you the account, but he hit 386 RWHP, running 18 lbs of fuel pressure and a 14.1 AFR. I bet another 30 horses minimum when he finally stands up and puts in the new fuel pump, and filters. Wooo whoooo

1800RWHP!
I was happy and not happy at the same time. Tuning was near impossible since I made 16 runs and got actual numbers 3 times out of the 16 runs. Kept spitting out garbage or not saving runs. Car was kind of dropping off up top which I didn't even try to fix. Final "real" numbers were only 545rwhp/512tq. The 577/579 they told me were just spikes. I think the car was hopping or skipping on the dyno causing it to freak out. In my HPtuners logs I can see the MPH/RPM jump around so something weird was happening.
Everyone was down on power from what I gather. I think franklin (heads/cam c5z) was down ~20rwhp. A stock ls2 GTO only did 315 when it should have been ~330.

Congrats to Nick for a powerful showing.
Yeah, my stock 1986 350 TPI only put out 386 hp. Obviously something was wrong...
Actually, I was happy with my number knowing there was loss due to the rain and a little loss due to my fuel pressure dropping from 48 at low RPM to 30 at mid RPM and 18 at high RPM. I'm actually surprised it even made as much as it did.
I'm going to go quantify fuel pressure drop this morning just to verify and then replace the filter. If that doesn't fix the problem I'll replace the strainer (and get a SS spring from Lowes to put inside it to keep it from collapsing). If that doesn't work I'll put in the new pump. If that doesn't work I'll have to get a better pump. It's just money, right?

Hopefully by end of week Eli and I will have the problem solved. The stupid idiot hacked into the distributor wiring harness, and according to Eli at Acell he did not need to even touch it, plug and play. In the first photo you may be able to see the butchered up solder joint, is there no limit to the corrupt ways of these crooks.... I am more motivated now than ever to stop these idiot crooks from butchering up any more cars. Thier day is coming, and sooner than they will ever expect.

Wayne with all the problems you have with your harness, would you consider replacing the harness?

Wayne with all the problems you have with your harness, would you consider replacing the harness? If $700 (cost of harness) would fall out of the sky, in a New York Minute. This idot hacked in to my wiring for a period of 2 months. Acell told me an installer could do it in one day. Can you imagine all of the carnage he did in 2 months. The stupid SOB did not have a clue what he was doing. We have found wires hacked into and a scotch lock with a wire just hangin out of it going to nowhere. Wires just twisted together and left, not even taped. He hacked and butchered the speedo wires, and they don't even go to the ECM, but directly to the Digi-Dash. Can you imagine how much damage he could have done in 2 months. That's my car, a new problem everyday, with TAS's fingerprints all over it. If you would like to see the installtion guide that came with the package, I could install it, but not the TAS idiot. 2 months. CORVETTE SPECIALISTS

Nice emoticons. Where do you get that stuff?
Too bad about the wiring. You might want to invest in some heat shrink wrap. The non-soldered joints will last a while, but the right way to make a connection is with solder, shrink wrap, and chafe-tape, with grommets everywhere that it can touch sharp metal. Might be a good time to check everything once to make sure it's ok.
I took my car out for a spin. The fuel pressure gauge is acting weird with a vibration in the needle bouncing around the area it's supposed to be in. It only appreared to drop to about 30 PSI when I ran it to full RPM at full throttle, though, so the guy reading my gauge at the dyno may have been wrong. Anyway, I'm going to put in a new filter and see what happens. I can see on the wideband it's still dropping to 14:1 at 6300 rpm, so I gotta fix that. At least I got my chip burner working again...
