Ok I am wanting to start a discussion as to how to hook something up.... I will be getting into the manuals, and trying to put some stuff on paper but since a few of you a ton more experience on the electrical of the C4 I thought I would put this up for a good winters discussion. First here are a couple of pics of my dash: The only parts of my dash that are digital are the Gas Guage, and the Speedo.... Also Odometer that I do not care about, and the mileage, and distance to empty that I do not care about either. All other guages, and the Tach are Analog Guages. Here is the delema: If I were to run the Coupe with a TH400 Trans, No Computer what so ever in the car, and just Old School Sensors, can I hook this Dash up to have a Speedo, Gas Guage, and all the Analog Guages, and Tach using old school Technology? Imagine if you would a C4 with no computer controled fuel injection, (But not carbs either) and no computer in the car what so ever.

You can run it w/no ECM, but the CCM controls the speedo, gas gauge...and all the rest of the analog gauges too. Along with the headlights, door locks, power windows, courtesy lights, and everything else electrical inside the car. Most of that stuff you can re-wire to run w/relays like in older cars, but I have no idea how you'd get a computer controlled speedo to work w/o a computer. Maybe you can, but I don't know how.

THE GAS GAUGE USES AN ANALOG SENDER INSIDE OF THE GAS TANK. ONCE YOU HAVE THE TH400 ON HAND, I'LL BET THERE IS AN EASY WAY WAY TO ADAPT A VSS TO WHERE THE SPEEDO CABLE HOOKS UP. THOSE BLACK BOXES (DAKOTA, ETC.) TO CORRECT FOR REAR GEAR CHANGES ARE JUST AN EXPENSIVE WAY TO CORRECT THE SPEEDO, RATHER THAN CHANGING TO THE PROPER SPEEDO GEARS.
LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE CONVERTED TO CARBS AND ELIMINATED THE ECM. ALL THEY LOSE IS THE MPG FEATURE OF THE DASH.
