I have not been out in the convertible since before last weekend. The kids were off school so I have been driving the Suburban. Went out today to make sure everything was defrosting ok, get the snow off, and start it for a few. Decided to take it out for a run down to the light and back, and as I turned around at the light I could feel the left rear go down. When I got home (About 1/8 mile or less, I decided to try to put air in it and see if maybe it was not just low. Guess what.... It was low all right. I could hear the air coming out, so I ran my hand on the tread as I could tell it was not coming from the cracks on the sid wall. There is a major hole in the tire tread. Feels like atleast a 3/8 bolt or bigger must have flown out of that hole. I could put the tip of my little finger in the hold.... no way to repair this one for sure, especially with the dryrot.
My front tires are P275/40ZR17's
I am guessing that is the size I will go with as the rears are a little bigger (A ton bigger)
My rear tires are 335/35ZR17's
I was told that these came on the Viper and good luck when I was looking before. I know Wayne has some nice looking tires and got them really right.... Chime in here Wayne. Beyond Wayne does anyone have any other sugestions? Anyone have a pair of used tires laying around?

The good, the bad, and the ugly of today. First the good news is the Vette is sitting on a new pair of rear tires. Have not taken it on a test drive yet, but they are on there so no more rear tire dryrot, and I can drive it. I also got a great deal. I called around, most people wanting 3 to 5 days to find me a tire, and some saying they could not even get a tire in that size. I am putting a stock set of tires on the car, and there were a ton of C4's with these tires.... why would these be so hard to find? More good news was I was able to get a great deal, and make a good connection too. I got these tires for less than if i had gotten them from Tire Rack, the paying shipping, then paying to have them mounted and balanced. I also was able to get them on today. Now the bad and ugly of it. I have dislocated my right shoulder putting on the wheels.

They are exactly like Waynes. Tire rack had them for $99 right now. They wanted $15 each for shipping, an then I would have to get them installed, plus Tire Rack would not have them here unitl Tuesday. I just kept calling around and the local Big O tire and I talked a bit, and he offered a different Sumitomo at a lot more money so I pulled up Tire Rack and asked him if he would price match. After a little talking he said he would match Tire Rack in price, and had a driver picking up some other tires so he would just have the guy grab a pair of what I wanted and bring them back. As long as I would bring the rims in, (No big deal as the car was not drivable where it was in the driveway, and I could just throw the car on a pair of Jack stands, and take them off, and throw them in the back of the Suburban and run them over) he would take real good care of me. Sure enough in less than an hour, I had new tires on my rims and was bolting tem on the car.
