I have been asking on a few of the Ford Forums for ideas for rear brakes for the coupe. If I am going to go I want to whao. Really important to me for some reason. Anyway with a Ford 9" rear end, and 15" rims on the back, I wanted to see what others were running, or sugested. Amazing the good responses I got on Ford Forums asking about brakes for a Chevy Product. First let me ask if any of you have sugestions. And second I will share the leading brake ideas that have been thrown out to me. Over on the musclecar forum there were these three sugestions, and on a couple of other forums the same ideas seemed to come up. First two are what would call good ideas: www.jegs.com/i/Wilwood/950/140-3623...roductId=752835www.jegs.com/i/Aerospace-Components...roductId=744441Then this was brought up, and this is what I think I will lean towards if I can figure out how to budget it in. aerospacecomponents.com/index.php?o...k&Itemid=45

I think that I would go CHEAP on the rear brakes 'cause the front ones do most of the work. I'd spend my money up front.
That double caliper rear is neat though. Kind of like airplane brakes. Kind of.

Kind of. MY GUESS IS THAT ON A PURE DRAG CAR, IT WON'T HAVE FRONT BRAKES. A GOOD DRUM BRAKE PROVIDES SERVO ACTION AND OUGHT TO WORK WELL IN THIS APPLICATION. FADE RESISTANCE ISN'T MUCH OF AN ISSUE. HERE. HOW ABOUT A SET OF DRUM BRAKES OFF A PICK UP TRUCK, WHERE THE BACKING PLATE BOLT PATTERN MATCHES THE FLANGE ON YOUR BANJO HOUSING? RACE ON!!! JIM
