Finally making some progress on my car since procrastinating all winter ! I managed to miss the first two test and tunes due to having it al torn apart once again to update the cage to current specs. Some slight mods to the door bars, some added gussets to the front hoops(due to not removing the roof while installing, incomplete welds) as well as installing the onboard fire system,a parachute(with a cool quick release/hidden mount !) New current dated seat belts, and a big blue bottle to ,well, you know. ;D Anyway, here are some in progress pics, the door bars(now final fitted and welded) are off being powder coated so I will add some more pics next week.

Door bars.Switched from locking pin to sliding/spring loaded sleeves that are NHRA approved. Makes it much cleaner, easier to deal with at the track(cant lose the lock pin)

And with the bumper cover on and trimmed. The plate will cover the pipe, rendering it mostly invisible on the street. The release cable tucks in behind the bumper when not in use.

Cool stuff.
Kind of wild when you remember this is a street car.
After the mods, how quick are you allowed to run?

Very Cool Vince. Sure is one sexy ride. Is the best of both street and strip. Very Cool.

And here is what is hidden under the plate. The mount tube is flush with the black insert, allowing me to bolt on the plate and cover it all up.

The only part I dont like is the safety shutoff/battery disconnect. On this car, killing it seems to set the computer theft alert and forces me to wait 10 sec /remove key/cycle locks in order to get the car out of antitheft mode.Oh well,it shouldnt ever be needed.
