Ok, as you know I have a Lincoln fan on my vette and the plug would keep coming unpluged. This morning I pulled the fan and shroud out and fixed the plug. Hopefully that is finally fixed. I am now replacing all of the spoilers on the underneath of the car, including the center pan. Jim had all 4 pieces. Now going on the car.
I took the stock vette to Vinces and he replaced some AC parts and my AC is colder than forever.
So far this has been a great week and weekend. I am out there working on the car, no one screaming at me for whatever, life is finally good. But I miss Bob & Jim.....

Well today I pulled the dash apart and tried to locate the bad wire to the tach. Could not find it, so I ran a new one from the MSD unit. I suspect the wire coming off the connector was hidden deep behind the center console. I also suspect another scotch lock from TAS has failed. I ran a new wire from the MSD and what do you know I have my tach back. While i had the dash apart I fixed a few other little things and were looking good. I have a few more things to fix and the stock 85 vette will be like new.

OK..I just got the cooling fans running off of the computer again. I pulled the pins in the connector and wired two new wires to the pins, then run the wires to the relay. Cranked up the motor and waited for 216. Right at 216 degrees the fans came on, whoooweeee. I think I have literally replaced 90% of the TAS jackass's wiring. Boy did I get screwed.......
Next find out why my heater fans does not blow on hi. Might be a relay because when I wire across the pins the fan goes on high. Once that is fixed I have to fix one of the back up lights, install a new radio antenna, and replace the side light on the drivers side with a good one that Mark gave me and I am done. Jesus you can get a lot done when you don't have a wife ragging on you...

Ok--Have the vette up in the air, chasing wiring. I decided to remove and replace every bit of wiring that was installed by TAS before it goes bad. Or at least check it out for any potential problems.
Vince, after seeing that little note book you had at cars and coffee, I went and purchased a Toshiba mini NB505. Perfect to run the Gen 7 in the car, it works like a charm. Thanks for the heads up.
