Worked on it for about 2 hours Sunday morning before it got hot. Radiator out, water pump off, front end all off, oil cooler off. Just need to pop the steering rack out and it is ready for the cam to show up. I'm tempted to pull the heads off today or tomorrow and mail them out to get worked over. I will do that over winter and I'm waiting on parts. It is a pain to pull the car this far apart so I'm thinking why not just go all the way now.

You 2 are horsepower junkies....More, more, more....If you can't shred the tires at 60 mph, you do not have enough HP, that's you 2

60? If you can't blow the tires off at any speed limit (75-80mph) then your not doing it right. Just got the rack out. Seriously considering pulling the heads but the one shop was a 4 week turn around right now. I don't want to wait 5+ weeks to get them back.

So vote. Pull the heads now and just do it all at once or maybe do them over winter. I'm leaning towards doing them now since it is 90% apart. All I have to do is pop the manifold off and pop the head bolts out.

I have been in your shoes twice. Pull them now, and while your waiting, do a lot of cleanup on the engine bay, and drive the 5.0 Whoooeeee

Yah. Waiting to hear back from Advanced induction. I wish there was a local place that knew LS stuff well enough to trust. Richard@WCCH is out for 2-3 weeks on vacation, then has to catch up when he gets back. The biggest issue doing them now is it will be 4-6 weeks to get them back.

Fuel pump harness showed up. Forgot about that. Balancer and pulleys should be in any day now. Will try to get the cam swapped tomorrow.

You gonna make it to the track before the season is up?

I seriously doubt it. Turn around on heads was ~6 weeks through WCCH. The heads I got will still be 3-4 weeks.
