Hey guys need some ideas on how to track down something that is draining my electrical system on my 2002 GMC envoy.
Saturday I went out to get in the car and it was completely dead. I tried to jump it and it wouldn't start. I figured battery was toast, though it is only 1 year old, so I took it over to autozone they said the battery had 0% charge, so I had them charge it and test it. Battery was ok. Took the battery home and cleaned the screws that hook in since it is a side terminal battery. Put the batter back in and car fired right up. It was just fine on Sunday as I was out and about a few times. This morning it was completely dead again and wouldnt start. The volt meter in the car is not barely coming above 9V.
Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks Nate

Fist thing is do you start that car at least once a week? once a batt getts too low it may never reach a full charge again. I think some deep cycle batts will recharge but not all. didnt start my vette for a month and had to get a new batt last week. would not hold a charge for more than a day. Just a start:) do you have any after market sterio stuff that you may have had wired to the batt and could have been run to a switched power source? Just throwing things out to give some ideas of places to look.

Do you have a volt meter. If so call me and I will tell you how to start chasing down the possible battery drain.
