Just watched the unveiling of the C7--Nice looking car except for the Camaro rear end. Someone will fab up a new rear end for the car and will make a fortune.

I like it, for the most part. I think it's pretty sexy. Would I buy one? Not w/o a test drive!! Won't make that mistake again.

Why didn't they go to a dual clutch instead of a suedo rev sensor/speedup dealy???

I am not sure about that rear. I will just have to see it in person before I pass final judgement but sure looks like they just gave up and said "Throw a Camaro Tail on it for now, and we will fix it later." and then forgot to fix it. Just not what I expected with a full redesign.
As for why they did not go to a dual clutch disc. My guess is because they were trying to step out of the box, and try something different. Not sure different is always the right way to go, but in this case, I think it is the right ideas just due to the fact that this car will be for sale to anyone. No requirements other than deep pockets for a person to own this car. Way I understand their new system of working gears and RPM it is easier transition and harder to throw into the wrong gear. Imagine some guy that has not driven a performance car before but has deep pockets jumping into this thing for the first time, and just jamming gears getting on the freeway, or getting off the freeway. Hit the wrong gear and bad things happen. I seem to remember a certain Lambo that was in Vince's shop. That guy had been driving high end cars for years, and still he missed the shift and look at his engine. I think they did it for an instance like that. Again that is just my guess for one of the reasons.

Interesting look, a little European/Ferrari styling. I like it....If I was a lot younger I would want to try one out....
