Been gone for a while. Too much life happening. So, I am back. I have decided that driving any car in the winter with no working heater is not fun. The heating system has got to be my next project. So, here's the questions. Where do I get the heating ducts? Neither Ecklers nor Mid America carry the ducts. Are there any diagrams for installing a heating system? I think the only thing that is there is the heater core. The duct work and the controls are gone.

What year is your car and what has been done to it as far as your duct work. I have a FSM for 85/88 and have had my dash apart several times.

If I remember right he has a C3. There are quite a few different places I would look for the duct work, and controls. Be honest I would have to see what is missing to know what to look for. I have had quite a few C3 dashes out. If you like I could help you figure out what is missing, and then we could go on the hunt. There is I believe only one other on the boards that has a C3 other than you. I am sure Vince down at Lung Automotive could also figure out what is missing. First place I would start is seeing if Corvette Recycling has anything but most of what they have is newer. Then get on the national corvette forum forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-corvettes-1968-1982-5/ and look in the for sale section. If not put a WTB add up (Want to buy) and start asking questions on there. I also have some contacts back east that might be able to come up with parts. Let me know if I can help.

I have a 77 C3. I am missing, from what I can see, all the parts for the climate control system except the heater radiator. I should also replace the center console. That and the heater/air controls can be gotten online but the ductwork seems to be something not available unless you know where to look, which I don't

As part of my heater rebuild I will probably need to replace the vacuum system. Does the vacuum system that actuates the headlights also work on the climate control or are they two different systems?

Sorry I have not been in here in a bit. Been real busy with work.
Basically it is 2 different systems. If you have a problem with your headlights, that is a fairly easy system to diagnose. I would go on the National Corvette forum and do a search. The vacuum diagrams should be available for a free download. If you do not find them let me know and I can try to scare them up. As for the HVAC vacuum system. Again just have to trace the lines and make sure that all of the lines run to where they need. I have a hand held vacuum pump that is good in helping to diagnose, and also a vacuum gauge with connectors to the lines. Can check to make sure vacuum is ran and then just start checking parts.
