So, some one who I though was a friend turned out to be a POS, and now my fathers project 1994 Corvette was pretty much stolen from me.
I was able to track down the body: work out a deal with a friend that also has a older non LT-1 C4 that wanted what was left of the roller (body, no motor, no trans, no ECU, almost picked clean). The car was a black 94 A/T coupe with bright red leather. I got pennies on the dollar for what the my late father purchased it for. My so called "friend" left this car at indoor storage for almost a year building up fee's for not being paid on, when I have plenty of room at my house and asked him numerous times to get the car back to me.
The motor, trans, headers, turbo, ect were all at this persons shop. The shop is closed and gone, the owner has dropped off the face of the planet.
If you see a motor turn up used it may be mine! This block would be special in the LT-1 world as it started out as a 2 bolt main Trans Am LT-1 block. It has a Splayed 4 bolt main conversion, fully ported LT-4 AFR heads, Diamond Low comp. pistons, a Eagle 4340 crank & rods, a crazy cam, nice roller rockers, springs, a nice timing set, brand new MSD opti spark LT1 setup, Brand new Taylor Race wires (Red in color) with black DEI 2000 degree boots on the wires. It had custom sheet metal style tall valve covers, This was a 355 CI motor (350 bored 30 over) ect. This was a pretty much no holds barred build. AT the very least I think there was a about $10k into this motor. The motor was painted bright red.
It started out life making 700 plus whp in a guy who goes by funky bird 90's Trans AM with a cog belt supercharger setup. It was pulled apart and everything cleaned, the 4 bolt main conversion done, ported AFR heads installed, resembled by a local guy at Jensens in Ogden utah (the guy who put the motor together is named Carl and builds all the local crazy motors including some 1300 plus hp 2JZ GTE's in supras's.
The pistons are ceramic coated on the top by me a gold color, and I spent lots of time cleaning the carbon off them and I spent the time to hand round over all the sharp edges from the valve reliefs so there are no hot spots in the combustion chamber.
A fully built 4L80e setup with a high stall converter and a full manual valve body is also missing.
I also lost a set of LT-1 style Long tube headers with no cat's from Stainless works.
I was also screwed out of a huge dump truck sized turbo that was powder coated a metallic blue on the compressor housing. This turbo was big enough you could put your fist in the inlet.
There's more I'm missing I'm sure, but this was the bulk of it. There were plenty of parts and labor my dad paid for that never turned up.
If you come across any of this, or any info please take the time to drop a line to me and let me know. I really would just like to know what happened to all of my stuff. I'm more that a little miffed that a so called friend would spit in my face and steal from me all of these things that my father who has passed on now, and I were working on as a project car.
If I have added it all up right, I'm out about $25,000. that my father was into this.
I live in, and this person that was running a "shop" that screwed me are in Ogden, UT. I will also try to hit up C4 gen and the local muscle car web sites.
Izabell and her husband saw this car pretty much the last time it ran, when it was strapped down to the dyno at this shop (and owner of this shop) who took all of this from me.
