So most know my car suffered a catastrophic engine failure at the beginning of the season. Short story, she went lean causing MAJOR internal damage,so I pulled it apart and sat down to decide where to go from here. The limitations on the TTix kit I had on the car were roughly 1100 RWHP due to T3 manifolds and a lack of space for bigger turbine housings. But,like always,I wanted more !! ;D Pulled the engine, with a bit of help(thanks son !)Then,we sold off the old turbo system, heads, block, crank, intake and injectors,NOS system, virtually everything under the hood. Kinda starting with a clean slate. This will be a full on,stem to stern, redo(with the exception of the cage/rear suspension/trans and diff,at least for now !) New parts have been floating in for the last month, but yesterday I got a wonderful suprise when the big Yellow freight truck backed up to the shop !

A brand new 427 LSX,fresh from LME after a long summer of selling, saving, swapping, scraping I managed to swing a professional built boost ready shortblock ! Full of Wiseco pistons,Callies ultra beam rods,Callies dragonslayer crank,1/2 in head studs, billet crank reluctor,ARP studs, the works. A new heart for Tarzan ! ;D To top it off,we added a set of new TEA 245 6-bolt heads, complete with 660 dual springs, stainless valves,CNC ported,JESEL adj shaft rocker system, all the goodies !

Add a pretty set of valve covers, next in line, the new turbo headers ! This setup will be forward mounted as I am also going with a bit bigger set of turbos to feed the 427 properly . 1 7/8" primary tubes,SS forward mount headers, going to v-band adapters, then to custom fabbed midpipes to the turbos themselves.

These things should move some serious air ! I just hope I can fit this all under the hood. Thats about it for tonight,I will add some updates as some additional goodies roll in in the next week or so.The plan is to install a mock up engine to fit the headers, downpipes and tubing, then send everything off to be coated while I finish the long block assembly and install. Tomorrow,we shall discuss fueling the beast !

Funny you should say that.... I have been really thinking about a cookout, or something to just relax and enjoy a weekend at home. Hopefully after this weekend, we can put the Jr away, pull the engine and trans on the Convertible, make a little progress on the coupe, get the Convertible back together and get everything stored in the garage before the snow gets down the mountain and in the yard.

Got headers back from welder,we shortened the collectors to allow room for turbo,BOV piping and whatnot. I have them mocked up again under the pretty new hood, will post a couple pics of that tomorrow as well as hopefully get cam installed, heads on the new engine so I can get it put in soon !

Got the connecting flanges,cut/trimmed and over to the welder, once done,we can add the BOV piping and then build the mount brackets for the turbos(they will have machined billet alum mounts below them to take the weight off the headers/exh flanges) I missed the UPS guy somehow on Sat,so wont have my tight radius bends for the downpipes til tomorrow, thats also on the list this week. So anyway, heres a few pics of turbo mounting location as well as my little old engine since I didnt get as much done on the turbo setup as I wanted.
