Tachout, don't tell Ross, but when we are lining up against him, I will hand you my helmet, you put it on and slide into the car and race against him. If for any reason you don't win, I can say i wasn't driving.

Hmmm then that will break my whole strategy for this Test and Tune.....
I can talk all the trash I want, and have no way to back up anything I say, so I just sit back, instigate alittle, and then enjoy the show. Soon My car will be done and with a little break in time, and some tuning time, and I think I should be able to run side by side with some of the other C4's on here.

you planing on running the thing in reverse. The only c4 that will be running againts you is Jim Barth. Then there is the nasty yellow c5. You will be in the BIG DAWG club. Vince, Jim, and Mark.

You make it out like I am building some monster.... It is just going to be a street car. Ok so it is going to be a very very safe street car, with way more cage that it needs (And a handycap for the weight I am sure) and maybe a little tire, but it is just going to be a street car.

Hmmmmm, lets see, stroker, big cam big heads, twin turbos, NOS, really fat tires, not a rear end breaker with the ford 9", chute, wheely bars.....You going to have a passengers seat, so the rest of us can feel the burn...

I am not only going to have a passenger seat, I am going to even be putting the stereo back in, and maybe even adding to the stereo. I only got (2) warnings from the track to turn my stereo off. I remember back when I was a teenager, getting helled at to turn my stereo down... and I did not do that either. I like the loud stereo... and I am not even sure I will ever spray it. Just might want it there incase you get that Dana 44 and plan on launching hard on me or something. And besides I need all that to make up for how much weight my car has to carry... (I am fat!) and also to make up for the Bad driver mod that is permanantly installed. I am under the understanding that a little extra horsepower can make up for some of the bad driver mod. I sit to long at the tree, I am thinking of having my mail forwarded there!

I am going to be running an automatic to make up for some of my bad driving, and plan to work on the lights some. Got the feeling if I just got more seat time with it, it would help, and I have figured a way to do that.....

Yes, the good drivers handicap themselves by running manual transmissions. That gives the bad drivers with much slower and more boring cars hope that they can keep up for a little while through the 1/8 mile. They must feel like mice getting hunted down by cats, though, as they are getting run down hard at the big end. ;D
I actually wish I had a car like Gaynor's or Wayne's for drag racing. I'd put a trans brake in it and see how I could do in the street legal series. Much like Jim is doing.

Well when I finally get around to finishing mine, I hope to run in the street legal series with Jim and see how I can fair. Mind you not near as good on those lights as Jim is. I am also going to run the summit series just so I can keep running it each week, and get some seat time. I know with mine it will not be boring though. It will be a hand full, or lets just hope it will be. Who knows maybe my next project with have to be a car for the twisties, and then I will have to have a stick. Not any fun without shifting on the road course. Just have to find a clapped out old rattle, leaking POS 911 or 930 that I can put a 935 body on, and then start collecting parts again, just so I can get close to what I used to have, and then I can go out and play with Tom, and try to chase his tail lights on Millers track

OMG what will you think when I do that. I will start reading some more on the internet so I can find a way to go faster.

Maybe you could do it with a Really Good Tune.... Maybe if you adjust it just a little here and there!

I don't know much about tuning, but with your air lid uncut and your dirty filter pulling slight vacuum starting at approximately 5413 RPM, my calculations show you're giving up 13.72 RWHP. That's from the high Reynolds number applied at the nanoscale to the clogged filter's small, irregular openings. With those two changes, the increased pressure in the plenum will deliver more Delta P to the seat of the intake valve, thus allowing a higher VE above that RPM. If you could get your WBO2 calibrated and knowing whether or not your catalytic converter air tube is hooked up or not, the increase in VE could be adjusted for using the fuel table in your tuning software for an AFR around 12.4 by simply performing short bursts at full throttle on a secluded section of public highway. After that, a final adjustment could be made on a chassis dynomometer. Finally, you could verify the results of the tuning by visually determining if my taillights are any larger from your point of view when we cross the finish line compared to the last time we raced.

You must be a really terrible tunner because I did not understand much of what you just said. Just to say all that you must have a really good knowledge, and be a really good tuner. I am thinking you and I need to get together once I get mine together. I am also running the Gen VII.
