Race recap. First,we turned the boost down as I am finally beginning to realize, consistent will keep you racing, fast puts you on the trailer.Anyway, first qual run, launch at 4700,5psi boost,15psi in the tires. Wiped the tires out, banged the rev limiter, track very green.Ran about 11flat( I know weak !)with a poor 60 ft(we are currently working on the front half,as the car has tons of top end) Second pass, drop the 2step down to 4400,tires to 13psi,still spins badly but 60s are 1.66??? and runs a 10.66 (still on low boost) decide to pull a little more out of the 2step,leave the tires(BIG mistake)not realizing they are spraying the launch pad between rounds. OOOPS ! Go to my first elim round, line up with, yes,a Gremlin !Dialed a 10.55 and added .5 boost(I can always let off, thats easy)Launch with a near perfect RT .001 and LOST ! car bogged badly, track finally came around and I was NOT prepared for that. We had pulled the 2step down further to 4200,should have bumped it back to 45 and brought the tires up to 15(normal for my car) ran another 11,to his 10.64 with a miserable 1.8 60ft,lost the whole race at the line. Oh well, learned how far NOT to go,also, thanks to Mark who was watching at the line,we learned we need to add some RR corner preload and or adj swaybar links as car is twisting badly and unloading the LR tire. Fun night, wished I could have run some practice runs on weds to sort everything out. That said,I know the car will come around, ran fine, made good power, even on low boost(134+ traps) and once we sort the launch out 9s should not be a problem.

I got to say, being able to stand in the burn out area, or the starting line I do get a very unique perspective of the launches. Was great to see it run.
And all kidding aside that is one bad ass gremlin!

I wasn't aware you were racing. That was an unreal light. Congrats. It takes a while to get the car sorted out and practice for the driver. It looks like you are well in your way.

It appears, based on my times, that I wasnt aware I was racing either ;D I started new thread about this,I will probably update it throughout the season now that the car is back together.Too bad my run didnt match my light,a 10.56 would have been acceptable.

Don't get down on yourself for a single, less than ideal result. I have had discouraging seasons and I still kept coming back for more. I am happy to see another Corvette owner fired up and involved. I'll be watching. Remember the directions to Carnegie Hall.
