Hi all. I just joined up. I bought my 77 T-top on eBay in oct 2006. That was an adventure. It's something of a project car so I will be asking lots of questions. It runs well and is fun to drive.

Welcome. Feel free to ask away.
By the way we are having a get together and bar-B-Que this weekend. Why not bring it out, and have a Burger or Brat and meet us all.

Hey everybody, I'm new here and thought I'd leave a message Just turned 20, and I bought my '81 Corvette a few months ago. I'll be the first to admit I got ripped off, as the engine needed an overhaul, but it was still worth it I've got a rebuilt Chevy 380 (over-bored from 350) sitting in there with a sweet 375 horses I'm working on getting the car to pass safety (who needs seat belts anyways?), and I intend to have it registered within a week! Maybe I'll see you on the road! -Taylor in Salt Lake

Welcome to the Forum, and if you can use any help from any of us, feel free to post up and ask. If she is on the road on the 28 feel free to bring her out to the Bar-B-Que. And if she is not, feel free to come out anyway, and introduce yourself. Hope to see you there.

Hello All,
I just joined today and see the club is pretty new. I have owned a few older corvettes in the past and have a car addiction as well as many of you I imagine. I just bought a 1969 L68 Corvette and it is being shipped out here. i can't wait till it arrives (12 days and counting..) I need to have the AC reinstalled and will eventually need a new paint job along with other minor restoration done to the car. i have had a real hard time finding a place that will even do the work let alone at a reasonable price or with some hope for quality of service. If any of you can point me in a direction of a shop in the Salt lake area that does good work i would really appreciate it. Hope to see you out driving this summer.

I can recommend a couple of places. First contact Highpockets on here. His shop is top notch, and as for another place, ask him about his body shop. I have seen a black paint job they did and let me tell you it was show quality.

Hey, my name is James and I just bought my first vette a few weeks ago. 1990 coupe. Looks like it has a blown head gasket though, still doing some trouble shooting, maybe not. It's running a little hot.. I get water coming out of the cap. Looking to build a turbo charged 400+ ci engine for it soon though.

I've recently inherited a 1965 Corvette. Never thought I have one but now I do. It not a perfect car and need some work but I think it will be fun to have a new project/hobby and see how it comes along. Since my father blew it up before turning it over to me, I especially can't wait to get it running so I can at least drive it.
I'm curious is Utah Vettes a gathering of people on the internet or is there a real club with actual gatherings from time to time.
Oh and Hello everyone and I'm sure I'll be posting here again.

Yes we do meet quite often. Friday night August 8th Rocky Mountain Raceway In the Pits BBQ! Then there is the Test and Tune out there that are both coming up. Also I have still had several people interested in making a Trappers Loop run, and another run up to the Mine. We try to get together every now and then for a BBQ or a Cruise, or a Car show or something. Thing is we do not charge dues like the Corvette Club of Utah, We have no meetings (you know the ones that remind you of an AA meeting) or anything. If someone is bored and wants to put something together, this is the place. If you just want to hang out and talk Corvettes, see some of them go somewhat quick, and others go WAY TO FAST feel free to join us this Friday out at the Drag Strip. Wander down into the pits, and you will find a group of us Gathered.
