It will store the code(s) in the memory,I know when I dyno my car, occasionally I get traction contorl/active handling lights or fault codes for the next day or so.The computer usually does not like seeing 100+ rear wheel speed and zero front wheel speed, tends to confuse it ! Drive it a little and see,no worries !

I put it on the dyno and it was 419 HP.. pretty close.., Not sure what else to do. Was that doing a simulated 1/4 mile pass? Or just another 4th gear pull?

If I were guessing,I would bet it was a 4th gear pull, which is what he was doing to begin with. It would be interesting to see the 1/4 results on his dyno with MPH as well.

I was at wendover yesterday, so I didn't have a 60' and MPH, but I was trying to watch my dash pretty close when I crossed the line to get an idea of my MPH.. I would say about 105-108 mph. With that trap speed, I hate to say it, but you're not putting down 420+ hp at the wheels. It's even worsened by the fact that you were using yrou speedo, which reads higher at the finish that a real sime slip would. If your speedo said 105-108, then a time slip of that same pass woudl read roughly 103-106 due to the tracks method of measuring trap. The HP numbers Nathan is quoting are from his dyno and corrected to standard atmospheric conditions at sea level. The performance numbers are uncorrected and are from 4000+ feet above sea level. Tom400CFI is correct about the mph numbers, too. The legitimate 1/4 mile mph numbers are the average mph from 66' before the 1320' mark and the 1320' mark.

I was out at a customers, sorry I missed you.. Your computer is really old. I will do what I can for you to get it cleaned up but it will be hard to make it run the way you would like. It is a Celeron 300 Mhz with 48 meg of ram with windows 98. They stopped support on 98 many years ago and there is only so much I can do to make it secure. As it is being cleaned up I am going to look through my back room for a used tower that is faster than yours. If I can find something better I will just give it to you and swap your files from your machine to the newer one. I am afraid no matter how hard I try I just wont be able to get this machine where it needs to be. I will keep you updated. Nathan These are the first posts on my "new" machine. Thank you Nathan for taking such good care of me and for the great deal. I have a bunch of change over to see to, but what a difference! Thanks again Jim

I am glad you can see the difference Jim.. You will be able to run so many newer programs now since we got rid of 98.. I know the switch over is a pain but after you install all your misc programs I know you will be happier with it that way.. Glad it is working well. Spread the good word is all I ask in return Nathan

I wish Nathan wasnt so far from me,I would keep him busy ! hey now.. I drive a great road car.. If you can keep me busy I have no problem driving to you a couple times a week seriously, if you ever need any computer work dont worry about the distance.. I can work through that and can even remote connect and fix lots of issues from my desk without even driving. nathan

Trust me,if you knew how antique and outdated my computers were you would not make that offer ! We COULD remote connect but my dialup is down again and I broke the string on my cup-to-cup connection. I think, once I get some of the minor reflashes done next week on a couple cars,I am going to give you my laptop to clean up,then we can go from there.

nate are you sure that GTO is stock? keep in mind the dude on utah muscle cars put down like 400 RWHP with just intake/exhaust and a tune.

nate are you sure that GTO is stock? Shouldn't matter. Keeping the GTO out of it, Nate's car is trapping ~105 in UT, w/420 RWSLHP (Rear Wheel Sea Level Horse Power). Put another way, he's trapping ~105 w/a 370 RWUTHP car that weighs ~3800 lbs, and that's not right. I would expect more like 110-112 on a time slip. keep in mind the dude on utah muscle cars put down like 400 RWHP with just intake/exhaust and a tune. In an LS2 GTO?? If so, someone's dyno is a little too optimistic.

Nathan,
Snowmans corvette ran 440 on your dyno and ran in the high 11s, you should be close.

tom his rwhp numbers are corrected for elevation.
FYI..i trapped 119 MPH with 500rwhp corrected numbers and my car weighs 3300 lbs.

tom his rwhp numbers are corrected for elevation. Yep, I know. That's why I cited both the corrected RWHP number and the rough actual number that his car will generate here; ~370 RWHP. I think a ~370 RWHP car should go a little better than 105ish. FYI..i trapped 119 MPH with 500rwhp corrected numbers and my car weighs 3300 lbs. That seems slow to me. I'm trapping 110-111 in my stock C6 at RMR, which pulled 360 RWHP at Nates shop. That would be ~317 RWHP at this elevation. My car weighs about 3420 w/me in it.

ok---I have a question, I run 12.8 my last time out at RMR, but I am only trapping 107 mph
