Hey you two get a room ! JK, Nick is being a BAD boy. Between the new Mustang and the "downgrade" on the vete,coupled with the fact that my car is getting a stock LS6 installed,Wayne and the stroker will probably be Top dogs around these here parts ! Hope to have mine on the rack this weekend beginning the install,still have to mount a trans cooler and run the wiring up the tunnel as well.Got a LONG weekend ahead,not looking forward to it. How much boost will you run on a stock (I know, stock 346) LS6. I am running a stock 350 with an LT intake.

Boost, ? I am running STOCK,with AC on ! Thats why I switched to the auto,so I dont spill my soda while cruising down the track ! Plan is to start it at 15psi and see how the trans works as well as converter.Once I sort that out and the car is launching good(hoping low 1.3s) then bump it to 20-22psi and see what it has(while hoping I dont run out of fuel with the dual pumps)I am sure its gonna be way harder than it sounds and I probably wont make ANY 9 sec passes again til next year but long as I dont have to do a clutch every 12 passes I will be happy !

Look it, I am 68 years old and I can launch with a 1.7 on street tires. All because of the auto. Are you going to set the controller to make all shifts at 6500 put it in 3rd and hang on, or, are you going to go through the gears like I do....Easy smeezy

They tell me let the controller do its job. Program it,stage the car,release trans brake and hold on !Should stay in boost the whole way and make for a pretty fun ride !

I agree. Intake/tune would be a solid 25-30rwhp and make it a lot easier. Wait for the weather then I would just do an intake/tune until you decide what route you want to go.

Eh the laptop at home was on and window open. I have been at a Duramax tech class and other than finishing two painful days of fitting EVERY piston ring in my engine,still not quite ready.Converter wont be here til Monday but I am hoping to finish and install at least the engine and torque tube as well as shifter assy this weekend .Thinking about some new tires but I hate to buy them this late in the year.

Should have some updates on my engine tomorrow.All the rings are done,clearances checked,ready for final assembly.Hopefully the converter shows up and I can stuff this pig together and see how she feels.Hoping to hit the next TNT or street legals to see what it does.

Inside a stock 346 LS6,this is what it looks like Wayne ! The bad news,my cam has one damaged lobe,so I get to wait til next week for final Long Block assy. Meanwhile,I stuck the heads on so I could trial fit the external oil cooler(in order to get new hoses/fittings) as well as the Moroso pan evac system in the interest of maintaining positive ring seal as well as minimize blowby and HP loss. It is a tight fit with the new Billet Katech belt tensioner but my machinist can make a new bracket and it should bolt right onto the Pass side cylinder head. So,not quite the progress I was hoping for but its getting closer finally.Think I will go ahead and take the rest of the weekend off. ;D
