Ribbing, rubbing, riding . . . I don't particularly care which it was. I don't want to see people not wanting to share their projects.

Well all week there has been nothing to share, as I made no progress what so ever... Just getting the house ready for my Mother-In-Laws Visit. Since I have been warned to make sure that the tail lights, and all work on my trailer before heading down to Vinces tomorrow, I decided that since I have not had trailer lights forever, that I probably should fix that. I went out, put power to the tail lights, and yep they worked, I hooked it to the truck and no work.... DUH check the fuse, and sure enough, the fuse was blown. My guess I had a bad wire or something, but I fixed it, and now all the lights work that have to work. All ready for tomorrow.

Well it is official, I have made the downpayment on the Engine that is going into my Car. I will still need to go through it to make sure that everything is perfect before I go sticking it in, and all. Once I have made the final payment, and have the engine in my posession I will be taking pics, and putting together a list of what is there, and if there are parts on it that I do not need, I will be posting parts for sale. I will also be posting some of my parts for sale, to offset the major cost of this rebuild.
Just a small update on how my rebuild is going. Reason that this is taking so long is I have a specific goal now, and some real plans, and no matter if it takes me a year to build or a few months, I am going to do it exactly as I want from the word go, and do it with the parts I want. I know that there are cheaper ways to do it, but in the long run my guess is I would end up doing this again, or just not as happy as I could be with what I have done.

Good luck on the build. If I can help let me know. My car now is for looks and not so much for go.

So spill it. A 454 small block? A 632 BB? Whatever, it appears your mind is made up on the parts combo. All the help you could ever want is only a post or a PM away.

Right now the engine is a 377 but it going to be a 383. 4 bolt main, dart II heads, Hamburger oil pan... Serious cool deal I got. Once it is paid off, I will get a parts list together of what it took to build what I am building, and I will share it all then. Honestly I do not know all of what is there, and do not know all of what I am going to add once I get it home.

The common 377 is a 400 bored .030" (4.155") with a 350 (3.48") stroke. How do you plan to make that a 383? If you put a 400 (3.75") crank in that you'd have a 406.

Well believe it or not I actually have something to update. The motor will be paid off in 2 weeks and it will get to come home so then the real work begins. In the mean time I thought I would update all on how I plan on cleaning up some of my parts in the garage. Since I sold the Vinyl Cutter this weekend, and I told myself if I sold it I had to get these two items, I finished working on Saturday, ran a couple of errands and then bought myself a couple of cool things for the garage. First I got myself a Parts Washer with some solvents, so I can put parts and and clean them like I am used to being able to do. Onlything I wish it had was a built in light, and the Lid to open further, but those I will fix soon enough. And then I finally got a Sand Blast Cabinet. Should make surface prep easier right before paint, or powder coating.

I know it would be a seriously long drive just to clean some parts, but your welcome to get a bunch together and come down and all. I am going to be giving some of it a try out this week, after I get some stuff moved around in the garage. I will post a few before and after cleaning pics.

Sure thing, come on down. It has the Glass beads in it for doing aluminum parts, as that is what I plan on doing the most of in there in the next few weeks. I do have a small air leak I want to address, and then I am sure we would be good to go. Also need to put the parts washer out in the garage, and move a few things and get the solution going. Should be done tonight though. As with most things now a days, some assembly was required, so I have not carried the parts washer out to the garage yet.
